Your day at NTT DATA

The Associate Deal Desk Analyst is an entry-level subject matter expert, responsible for learning the skills to provide efficient support to the sales and technical delivery teams.

This role works as the primary point of contact among various business areas, constructing less complex and non-standard deals.

The Associate Deal Desk Analyst typically ensures that deals are correctly constructed, assists teams with pricing to maximize revenue, and addresses details involved in non-standard contract processes to complete deals promptly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the construction and maintenance of deal pipeline information.
  • Assist with collecting, compiling, and validating pipeline data from internal stakeholders.
  • Provide periodic updates to internal teams on upcoming service activation requests.
  • Analyze pipeline data regularly.
  • Document and analyze data to help managers plan resources for supported technology.
  • Identify demand for new technologies based on detailed instructions.
  • Work with stakeholders to preliminarily size resources for new technologies.
  • Review effort sizing with internal teams before submitting for deal viability analysis.
  • Support Deal Desk activities impacting quota setting, bookings, and deal structuring.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team on deal structuring and quoting, advising on contract options and value propositions.
  • Assist with common deal questions and Quote to Cash process inquiries.
  • Work with impacted parties to find acceptable options to facilitate deal closure.
  • Follow directions from Sales Operations and Sales Systems teams to improve processes and systems.

  • Ability to partner with Go-to-Market teams and cross-functional departments.
  • Some understanding of revenue recognition rules.
  • Organizational skills, customer focus, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, self-awareness, professionalism, and receptiveness to feedback.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize during high-volume periods.
  • Some quantitative skills and proficiency with sales tools and software.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field.

Required experience:

  • Entry-level experience in Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations, or Pricing preferred.
  • Experience with Direct and Channel Sales models is highly desirable.
