Job description

The candidate will be required to perform the following functions:

• Advising company executives and the board of directors
• Advising of acquisitions and disposals
• Handling due diligence and corporate investigations
• Drafting review, interpretation and vetting of contracts
• Negotiation of contracts
• Drafting legal opinions or memorandum of advice
• Providing company secretariat support to businesses
• Providing regulatory advice to businesses
• Corporate law and general business advisory
• Handling and advising on business financing or capital raising transactions
• Factual and legal input on corporate disputes handled by the litigation department
• Banking and Finance work

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Exceptional ability as a business lawyer
• Resilient, able to work well under pressure and hardworking

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• LLB Degree
• Must be an Admitted Attorney
• 3 - 4 years minimum proven experience in a business law practice environment
• Studying towards or with a Master's in either Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Business Law, and Company Law.
