We are seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join our multidisciplinary Land Infrastructure division.

Role Requirements:

  1. A solid background in the public and private sector, specialising in land infrastructure from township to site-specific scale.
  2. Sound knowledge in the use of a variety of civil engineering analysis software.
  3. Advanced computer skills with working knowledge of CAD Software.
  4. A general understanding of BIM processes (working knowledge will be advantageous).
  5. Knowledge and experience of relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices.
  6. Strong work-winning, client-facing capability and experience.
  7. Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills.
  8. Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organisational levels).

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing and coordinating tenders / bids and contribute to winning work initiatives.
  2. Ensure timely delivery of projects that are within scope and budget.
  3. Establish a clear understanding of project goals and stakeholder expectations, specifically managing client expectations and ensuring that delivery meets expectations.
  4. Lead and coordinate small and medium projects, including managing delivery teams, reporting on budgets and schedules, and maintaining team morale.
  5. Produce other key deliverables on projects, such as technical reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  6. Act as a senior project-level point of contact for clients.
  7. Resolve project-level issues independently.
  8. Motivate the project team toward the determined objectives by generating enthusiasm for the project and maintaining a continued personal interest in achieving the set targets.
  9. Be a team player who is willing to collaborate across multiple disciplines and international geographies.
  10. Confident, well-spoken, self-starter, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.

Qualifications:

  1. BSc / BEng. Degree (Civil Engineering).
  2. Professional Engineer registered with ECSA with 5-10 years' experience (5 years post-registration).
  3. Minimum of 8 years' experience as a design specialist in land infrastructure, specific to municipal and site-specific services.
  4. Design and project-leading experience.
  5. Must be CAD proficient.
