Job summary

Cedar High School is seeking an Assistant Boys Wrestling Coach to support the head coach in planning practices, teaching skills and strategies, and motivating student athletes to excel in competition.

The assistant coach will assess players, help with game strategy, ensure safety, and model sportsmanship during practices and events.

They will support equipment management, eligibility documentation, and coordination for banquets or assemblies as part of the athletic program.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching wrestling at school level preferred.
• Ability to teach techniques and strategies to student athletes.
• Strong communication and supervision skills during practices and events.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with planning practices and teaching skills.
• Instruct players on rules, techniques, and game strategies to prepare for competition.
• Observe players during practice and games and help identify improvement needs.
