Assistant Tax Analyst

Head Office based in Jhb North, has an opening for an Assistant Tax Analyst to join their team.

Successful incumbent will be required to provide support and guidance to Operations with regards to all taxes and be responsible for SARS administration for the holding company and major subsidiaries.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Completed Matric (with Maths)
2. Post-Graduate Accounting / Financial degree
3. H.Dip Tax essential
4. 3 years Accounting and Tax experience
5. SAIT Article plus commercial experience is highly advantageous

KPI's include:

1. SARS administration: Completion and submission of monthly VAT returns for the holding company and major subsidiaries
2. Completion and submission of Provisional Tax Returns
3. Completion and submission of Corporate Income Tax Returns
4. Tax Clearance Certificate applications
5. Maintenance of all entity registrations and their tax references
6. Maintenance of all companies on the SARS e-filing system
7. Attending to all SARS queries
8. Uploading all T/B's on Thomson Reuters Onesource for the Group
9. Review of tax schedules and tax packs on Onesource to ensure completeness of information
10. Assistance with balancing deferred tax for the Group and reporting thereon
11. Matching of key numbers between Onesource and Reporting systems
12. Assisting the Operations with queries on Onesource
13. Management of the tax software system
14. Financial Year-end Obligations: preparation of tax computations, schedules and supporting documents not part of the tax software queries
15. Supplying Auditors with tax information during audit
16. Assisting Operations with all tax technical queries
17. Assisting the Tax Compliance Officer with financial statement disclosure and ad hoc queries
18. Perform other related duties as may be required from time to time

Ability to speak English and Afrikaans fluently is essential.
