Job Description:

An Assistant Store Manager is responsible for relieving the Store Manager in their absence and assisting in maintaining company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security.

Responsibilities:

  1. Banking of money
  2. Relieve the Store Manager
  3. Maintain company standards of housekeeping, merchandising, shrinkage control, discipline, and security
  4. Ensure compliance with all company procedures
  5. Assist the Store Manager in staff management
  6. Ensure front-end controls are in place
  7. Oversee the cash office
  8. Minimize stock loss and enhance customer service
  9. Introduce sales initiatives to reach store targets

Qualifications:

  1. Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics an advantage) or NQF Level 4
  2. Previous experience managing people
  3. Previous experience managing a department
  4. Previous clothing retail experience is highly advantageous
  5. Strong communication skills
