Job purpose

To support the Store Manager in ensuring the efficient operation of the store and service excellence by driving sales and building customer loyalty to meet sales, profit, and compliance targets, leading to a competitive advantage for the brand.

Job objectives
  1. Achieve the store's financial performance by driving sales through promotional activities, cross-selling, up-selling, and excellent customer service.
  2. Execute operational activities including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
  3. Maintain in-store visual merchandising standards to align with brand image.
  4. Support and motivate staff to achieve targets and manage performance in the absence of the Store Manager.
  5. Assist in managing staff schedules according to company policies.
  6. Implement customer service initiatives to enhance customer experience and drive club card participation.
  7. Complete administrative tasks efficiently, including employee records and attendance.
  8. Promote the brand as the customer's first choice health and beauty retailer by embodying company values.
Education and experience requirements
  • Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50%, English 50%)
  • Desirable: Degree in Retail or Business Management
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an assistant store management role within retail/FMCG environment or completion of Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme.
  • Financial management experience (budgets, P&L, ratios).
