Overview

The position reports directly to the Senior Stock Accountant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Place local and imported paper orders and coordinate all communication of shipments from origin to final destination.
  • Clear imported shipments.
  • Verify all paper receipts and process accurately in financial systems on a daily basis.
  • Inter-Company transactions.
  • Ensure satisfaction to internal and external customers / suppliers through the offering of quality services.
  • Daily / Month-end / Ad-hoc reporting / procedures.
  • Electronically file and keep records of all processed transactions and reports for auditing and enquiry purposes.
  • Update financial systems and reporting tools (Excel).
  • Keep up with ever changing Government Policies and Tariffs on Accounting Standards.
  • Continuously explore ways of improved reporting.
Educational Requirements
  • Grade 12 with mathematics and accounting is a prerequisite.
  • A financial certificate / diploma would be advantageous.
Experience Requirements
  • 2-3 Years inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Imports and Export experience.
  • Foreign Exchange experience.
