    Job Description

    This is an independent role where the candidate needs to demonstrate great abilities to be able to drive the social media and digital marketing requirements of the business. The individual will need to pro-actively come up with ideas and suggestions of how social media can contribute to drive more revenue to our hotels. The candidate will aim to serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by leading a well-documented digital role within the Sales & Marketing Department for the Minor Hotels Africa Regional Office. Achieving own results set by the Regional Marketing & Communications Manager and the Regional DOSM and, contributing in achieving results for marketing and sales.

    Social Media Content Strategy

    • Oversee and review the execution of content calendars, community management, and publishing
    • Support properties in planning seasonal and campaign-based content aligned with global marketing initiatives
    • Coordinate regional social campaigns and influencer collaborations where necessary
    • Assist the hotels in sourcing and arranging social media content photoshoots and ensuring the content is relevant.
    • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.
    • Stay ahead of social and content trends (Reels, audio, aesthetics) and test new formats or ideas that align with the brand's tone.

    Strategic Social and Paid Content Planning: Align ongoing strategy with both global initiatives and regional consumer behavior.

    Brand.com, TripAdvisor and OTA’s - Monitor and update content across these platforms.

    Qualifications
    • Degree in Digital Marketing/Social Media is required
    • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in social media marketing, preferably in hospitality or multi-property environments. Previous experience in the hospitality/ tourism sector is advantageous
    • Mature and excellent communication and analytical skill required
    • Computer literacy is a must
    • Highly structured and ability to multi-task is essential
    • Able to pay attention to detail even under a high pace working environment
    • Experience in using business manager for Meta.
    • Proven experience leading or guiding teams, with strong communication and mentorship skills.
    • Strategic mindset with understanding of analytics and campaign performance.
    • Proficiency with social platforms and business tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
    • High attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
    • Familiarity with content trends and performance-driven digital storytelling.
