Assistant Retail Store Manager – Bloubergstrand

Description: Our national client, operating in the retail space, is seeking to employ an experienced Assistant Retail Store Manager for their store in Bayside Mall, Bloubergstrand.

We invite suitable applications from candidates residing in Bloubergstrand and surrounding areas.

Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Manager/Supervisor in retail
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Sales-oriented, customer engagement skills, self-starter
  • Willingness to work according to mall trading hours: Monday to Saturday 09:00-19:00, Sunday 09:00-17:00
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of Products:
  • Ensure staff and yourself are knowledgeable about all products sold
Customer Service & Care:
  • Exceed customer expectations and ensure excellent customer care
Sales Targets:
  • Meet store sales targets and budgets
  • Set daily targets and monitor progress, implementing strategies to stay on track
Selling Skills:
  • Upselling and add-on sales by promoting features and benefits of products
Merchandising & Display:
  • Attract customers through effective merchandising and displays
Marketing & Shopping Centre Engagement:
  • Display marketing materials properly and maintain their condition
  • Identify and collaborate on marketing opportunities within the shopping centre
Administration Duties:
  • Cash handling, stock management, pricing, stock receipts
  • Ensure correct barcoding and timely reporting of stock on consignment
Housekeeping, Maintenance, Safety & Security:
  • Adhere to safety regulations and security protocols
  • Protect assets from theft and damage
Management:
  • Oversee daily operations, delegate tasks, and ensure responsibilities are fulfilled
