A vacancy exists in the Operations Department for an Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM). Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the successful incumbent will be part of a development programme aimed at preparing them for future ARM positions within the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the RGM in achieving CHAMPS Standards within the restaurant by ensuring all employees focus on exceeding customer expectations for Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product, and Speed of Service.
- Learn to manage shifts according to Company Policies and Procedures, including directing employee activities to maximize sales, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Understand how to allocate responsibilities to each employee on shift and monitor their performance.
- Ensure all employees follow proper maintenance procedures as per the established maintenance roster and inform the RGM of any repairs or maintenance needs.
- Learn about forecasting and scheduling labour by shift, creating deployment plans to control labour costs, and meet business needs using tools like Macromatix.
- Support the RGM in implementing controls and procedures to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, property, and company resources.
- Report any employee relations, customer service, or health inspection issues to the RGM that could impact restaurant operations.
- Assist in implementing training programmes for staff to maximize performance and support their career development.
