General Description Of Position
Assists manager of one residential facility under the direct supervision of the Residential Manager. Responsible for serving as a role model for all residents and subordinate staff; assisting the Residential Manager in the daily operation, security, and safety of the residential services facility assigned.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervises and assists subordinate staff in training residents in independent living skills, home management skills, cooking, cleaning, and socialization skills, utilizing the work wheel (as necessary) and task analysis.
Assists the Residential Manager in ensuring that all DDS regulations and guidelines are met with respect to the requirements of the residential services facility.
Provides safety and security of the residential facility.
Acts as a liaison between the person, parents/legal representation, Case Manager, and Waiver/DDS officials.
Assists the Residential Manager with monthly and quarterly reports and various other records (i.e., attendance, drills, maintenance, workbooks, etc.).
Coordinates mediation, investigations, and disciplinary actions with appropriate personnel.
Manages purchasing and inventory of all supplies for staff/residents use.
Completes incident reports and behavior reports and relays them to the appropriate personnel.
Oversees the medication management program and coordinates as necessary with MD/LPN/RNs and the contracted pharmacy.
Supervises the training of residents in total realm of residential adjustment as they lead to independence and placement.
Keeps abreast of training and work opportunities for individuals served by maintaining a solid working relationship with all funding sources and attending appropriate training and seminars.
Supervises and trains Residential/Waiver supportive living employees.
Provides input into the annual performance evaluations for subordinate staff.
Coordinates subordinate payroll, staff schedules, time worked, vacation, and personal leave accrual.
Offers suggestions and feedback to all workers who provide supportive living services for the facility to ensure quality care.
Reviews cases and focuses on recipient's progress in meeting goals and objectives established through the Plan of Care, including review of documentation completed by staff.
Monitors all supportive living services as assigned.
Maintains accurate records for client money management, bills, and having a clear audit trail for assessment purposes as required.
Processes paperwork for clients who move in or move out, including verification documents, HUD files, and other duties relating to housing, Section 8, or other as required.
Follows Pathfinder Policies and procedures, applicable state regulations, CARF regulations, DDS regulations, HUD regulations, Waiver regulations, and other licensing requirements necessary for quality of care.
Serves as the Residential Manager in their absence.
Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Education And Experience
High school or GED plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS APPLICABLE BACKGROUND CHECKS AND DRUG SCREEN.

Salary: $1.00 per hour
