Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Resident Engineer in monitoring construction activities in accordance with specifications.
2. Assist in monitoring traffic accommodation and designing deviations for phased construction.
3. Assist in supervising the progress of contractors on major highway structures.
4. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and environmental standards.
5. Monitor the site laboratory activities, particularly in the concrete section.
6. Take minutes at site and technical meetings.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency with Civil Designer and/or Civil 3D.
• Over 5 years of experience analyzing concrete mix designs.
• Experience in construction quality control related to major highway structures.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience on major SANRAL projects, with over 5 years supervising and monitoring highway construction.

Qualifications:

BSc / BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering

Only South African residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
