ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to the company rebuilding its commercial team, there is a need for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the quantity surveyor within the utilities sector. You will manage costs to maximize profit and ensure payment delivery while developing client relationships. Responsibilities include viewing and evaluating payments, site measurements, general surveying, reviewing and pricing variations, and preparing valuations with Project Managers and the Commercial Director.
The projects involve multi-utility projects, all under NEC contracts.
Applicants should have a good education background, preferably a Foundation Degree (HND, HNC) in Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience working within highways for tier 1 or tier 2 companies as an assistant quantity surveyor is essential, demonstrating good long-term stability. Knowledge and experience with NEC contracts are also required.
A full UK driver’s license is necessary for site visits and travel.
