Job description

Job Description : Investigate property development opportunities on available land. Create sketches and mock-up drawings of potential property development options. In consultation with the Property Development Accountant, conduct feasibility studies of these options. Hold meetings with various stakeholders such as municipalities, clients, project managers, etc.

Ensure all technical provisions and specifications of the end client's requirements are reflected in architectural drawings and implemented during construction. Coordinate existing property development activities, including technical specifications, resource allocation, and progress tracking. Make modifications to building plans and produce mock-up drawings from existing plans. Maintain comprehensive documentation related to property development, including contractual paperwork, plans, and reports.

Obtain property development updates from relevant disciplines such as the Project Manager, Building Contractor, Engineer, and Architect. Assist with integration, scope analysis, cost control, quality management, and procurement management.

Qualifications : A tertiary degree or diploma in Architecture or Town Planning. At least 4 years of experience in an architectural environment. Experience in property development is advantageous. Skilled in ArchiCAD or Revit (or equivalent software). Valid driver's license and own vehicle. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to understand and read Afrikaans. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Projects is a plus. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects. Strong attention to technical detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret flowcharts, schedules, and action plans.
