Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate property development opportunities of available land.
  2. Create sketches and mock-up drawings of possible property development alternatives.
  3. Conduct feasibility studies of property development options in consultation with the Property Development Accountant.
  4. Hold meetings with various stakeholders such as municipalities, clients, and project managers.
  5. Ensure all technical provisions and specifications of the end client's requirements are reflected in architectural drawings and implemented in the building process.
  6. Coordinate existing property development activities, including technical specifications, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
  7. Make changes to building plans and create mock-up drawings from existing plans.
  8. Create and maintain comprehensive property development documentation, contractual paperwork, plans, and reports.
  9. Obtain property development updates from various disciplines such as the Project Manager, Building Contractor, Engineer, and Architect.
  10. Assist with integration, scope analysis, cost control, quality management, and procurement management.

Qualifications:

  • A tertiary degree or diploma in Architecture or Town Planning.
  • At least 4 years of experience in an architectural environment, preferably in Property Development.
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD or Revit (or equivalent software).
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to understand and read Afrikaans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with project management tools like Microsoft Projects is a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong attention to technical detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret flowcharts, schedules, and action plans.
