The project:

As the Cape Town region continues its development within various building and infrastructure development opportunities, we are expanding. We are searching for an assistant project manager to work within our Cape Town, South Africa, regional office team in this next exciting period of growth.

In the next year and beyond, we will be supporting our regional clients to deliver on exciting residential and commercial building developments, infrastructure development, and feasibility and advisory services.

  • Project Management Information Systems strategies (BIM360, ACC, Smartsheet, Aconex, MS Project and similar)
  • Data Analytics-Driven Insights (Power Platforms, Power BI)
  • Geospatial Analysis (ArcGIS Pro)
  • Project-Specific Process Development (Visio)
  • Scenario- and Financial-Based Modelling

  • You will manage parts of projects independently, with oversight from other project managers.

You’ll need to have:

  • Right to work in South Africa.
  • Evidence to showcase competency in project programme tools, procurement and contract administration, analytical reporting and presenting, and analytical modelling (financial- or scenario-based modelling).

You’ll also have:

  • Membership in ECSA, SACPCMP, PMP or equivalent demonstrable professional development.
  • Basic experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the civil infrastructure and/or smart utilities management sector.
  • A developing knowledge of commercial and financial considerations.
  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
  • Candidates with civil design backgrounds, especially in water infrastructure or utilities, will be highly regarded.
