An environmental conservation organization is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to assist in managing the Farleigh East Working for Water Project in South Africa. Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing of the Farleigh East Working for Water Project, in the Wilderness sections of the Garden Route National Park.

The position is on a fixed term contract up to 31 March 2027.

Remuneration on C2 Paterson salary scale, Farleigh East on R 24 755.46, staying outside the park.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with strategic and operational planning of the project.
  • Coordination and mentoring of EPWP contractors.
  • Ensure the management of quality, production and monitoring of task-based operations linked to the project.
  • Ensure compliance to program standards/norms and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Assist with financial management of the project.
  • Ensure database information for the project is maintained and updated.
  • Assist with administrative management.
  • Asset, stock and stores management.
  • Assist and coordinate training and social interventions
  • Assist with mapping and data recording for the project linked to activities
  • Report on project progress
