Job Summary:
Our client, a manufacturer dedicated to producing high-quality products for outdoor enthusiasts, seeks a skilled and experienced individual to assist the Production Manager in overseeing manufacturing operations and ensuring efficient and timely production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Manager in coordinating the activities of sewing operators, including planning and organizing production schedules.
- Plan and schedule production orders to meet deadlines and targets.
- Ensure all production processes adhere to quality standards and specifications.
- Train new employees on sewing techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with departments such as design and quality control to ensure seamless production.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide staff feedback.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Supervise and support machine operators and production staff.
- Track KPIs and report deviations to the Production Manager.
- Help implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Oversee daily operations of printing and sewing floors.
- Supervise sewing machine operators, cutters, packers, and print staff.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and motivate night-shift staff, including production operators and support staff.
- Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure effective communication.
- Provide hands-on support during production challenges.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure products meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections.
- Address defects or inconsistencies promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety drills and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Report accidents and implement corrective measures.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain records of production, shift performance, and attendance.
- Provide detailed reports to the Operations Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels for raw materials and supplies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for workflow optimization.
- Collaborate on implementing best practices and innovations.
- Train staff on new techniques and tools.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Production/Sewing Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of sewing and printing machinery and techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
