Overview

SUMMARY : We are looking to place an Assistant Production Manager with our client based in Cato Ridge.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in food manufacturing sector with the required health and safety protocols.

Purpose of the job is to oversee and ensure smooth and efficient operation of the plant and assist both the operations and production manager.

Minimum Requirements

• This position requires a minimum 3 years operational / technical experience.
• Candidate must have extremely strong people skills; Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail; Food safety, quality and H&S consciousness
• Be able to train & lead team; work alongside all personnel; contribute to enhancing strategies, goals and values of the plant and company

Key Responsibilities (Not Limited to)

• Assist with and monitor adherence – production planning
• Ensure production practices align with quality objectives and product specifications
• Monitor, assist and advise senior team leaders in ensuring efficiency, and quality targets are achieved and maintained
• Monitor all team members for adherence to safe work practices
• Monitor GMP practices and assist with corrective actions where needed
• Guide and mentor all levels of production team as and where needed
• Monitor production team discipline and take corrective and disciplinary action as and where needed
• Ensure HACCP and PRP compliance across all production parameters
• Train new operators on procedures and proper use of equipment.
• Assisting production and Ops manager where needed
• To do other duties as may be required or assigned by the production or operations managers
