This role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo

Job Description

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure optimal operational staffing levels aligned with the P&O Business Plan.
  • Ensure compliant and accurate labour movements.
  • Monitor staffing levels to ensure effective workforce deployment.
  • Execute all labour movement requests promptly and accurately.
  • Track and share relevant time and attendance data with line management.
  • Report on employee attendance, including presence at work, leave, training, sick leave, and absenteeism.
  • Audit time and attendance records to verify shift patterns, overtime, and attendance accuracy.
  • Provide information on employee and contractor absenteeism types.
  • Address employee queries related to benefits and payroll.
  • Manage contract labour requests and process related invoices.
  • Foster strong working relationships with managers and staff.
  • Assist in managing sound employee relations by advising and leading in the implementation of effective conflict resolution.
  • Advise line managers on disciplinary and grievance policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge and insight on legislative and compliance matters and provide frontline advice on ER issues.
  • Assist line managers with recruitment processes.
  • Assist with onboarding activities for new employees.
  • Analyse and interpret P&O related data and compile comprehensive P&O reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Assist with housing benefit policies (e.g., HOA, LOA) and related inquiries.
  • Assist line managers in identifying and addressing employee training needs.
  • Assist line managers in managing acting appointments.
  • Coordinate periodic medical scheduling for employees.
  • Participate in ad hoc P&O and business initiatives and projects.
  • Escalate P&O-related issues to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
  • Support line managers with internal communication activities.
  • Conduct regular workplace visits to engage with employees directly.

This role is at a C4 level, reporting to P&O Advisor Operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • NQF 6 Advanced Certificate/National Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license

  • 2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Competent in Operations P&O systems and related legislation
  • Computer literate for the role, including SAP/Nav+, Microsoft Office

  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good administration skills
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills
