Job Summary

Oversee all operations at the Vista department, the main cocktail and spirit bar and lounge, including colleague schedules, event planning, and responsibilities.

Ensure customer delight within effective cost control and our core values.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome and seat guests courteously and promptly, addressing them correctly and tending to their requirements.
  • Promote and exceed guest satisfaction scores and operational standards.
  • Manage departmental operations efficiently across shifts.
  • Handle administrative tasks like mail, guest reports, staff rosters, and training reports.
  • Maintain close relationships with the kitchen and ensure safety standards.
  • Conduct daily briefings and communicate important events.
  • Assist with colleague issues, training, appraisals, and inductions.
  • Make drinks, possess knowledge of recipes, check IDs, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Create drink specials, order supplies, and oversee bar operations.
  • Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure consistency in drinks and service.
  • Develop new cocktail recipes and promote the bar’s offerings.
  • Assist with budget management and ensure compliance with hygiene and safety legislation.
  • Market the Vista bar, handle customer inquiries, take reservations, and execute events.
  • Plan, problem-solve, and liaise with various stakeholders to improve business operations.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with international experience preferred.
  • Qualifications in Food and Beverage or related fields preferred.
  • HACCP certification and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, motivate others, and resolve problems effectively.
  • Experience across different outlets is advantageous.
