About The Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and driven
Assistant Marketing Manager to support the Senior Marketing Manager across three exciting business units:
- DJI (Drone, Action Camera & Gimbal Technology)
- reLoved (Certified Pre-Owned iPhones)
- Integrated Retail (Concession Retail Model)
In this role, you will develop, manage, and execute marketing campaigns that align with strategic business goals. You will work across brand, digital, CRM, content, and event marketing to build visibility, engagement, and growth for each brand.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Performance
- Support the creation and implementation of quarterly and annual marketing strategies and budgets.
- Maintain brand consistency in line with Apple and DJI global guidelines.
- Optimise marketing spend and track ROI across all campaigns.
- Analyse performance data and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly
Marketing Strategy & Performance
- Analyse performance data and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly Proof of Action reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness through insights and KPIs.
Events, Training & Brand Engagement
- Plan and execute product launches, training sessions, and brand activation events.
- Evaluate and coordinate participation in relevant third-party events to increase brand visibility.
- Distribute brand updates and key information to internal teams including sales, store staff, and field marketers.
- Oversee promotional materials, sample stock, and pre-sell allocations.
Digital & Social Media Marketing
- Collaborate with the Social Media Marketing Coordinator to execute integrated social media strategies.
- Oversee content creation and publishing across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).
- Track and report on social media performance, ensuring alignment with business unit goals.
- Develop strategies to engage target audiences through owned platforms and communities.
Customer Relationship & Value Management (CRM & CVM)
- Develop targeted campaigns to build loyalty, increase retention, and drive lifetime customer value.
- Manage CRM database in line with POPIA compliance requirements.
- Execute segmented communications via email, SMS, and WhatsApp.
- Analyse campaign performance and optimise based on open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Identify key customer touchpoints for CRM intervention across the buyer journey.
E-Commerce & Online Store Management
- Ensure the online store is current with product offerings, promotions, and brand content.
- Improve the customer journey and user experience (UX) to drive conversion.
- Monitor site performance metrics such as traffic, sales, and acquisition.
- Work closely with Sales and E-Commerce teams to standardise listings and maintain brand integrity.
- Update store policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Wholesale & Retail Marketing
- Develop and manage joint marketing initiatives with retail partners.
- Secure in-store activations and demonstrations for new product releases.
- Maintain strong relationships with key retail stakeholders.
- Ensure co-branded marketing reflects brand guidelines and messaging consistency.
Content Creation & Management
- Oversee content to ensure it is inclusive, brand-appropriate, and aligned with company values.
- Adhere to copyright, confidentiality, and data protection policies.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in content and influencer selection.
Crisis & Reputation Management
- Monitor and escalate PR or social media issues promptly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and protect brand reputation.
Financial & Procurement Management
- Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and accuracy.
- Raise purchase requisitions and manage POs in line with business requirements.
- Reconcile monthly marketing expenditure against the approved budget.
Customer Experience & Support
- Work closely with the Sales Team and Social Media Coordinator to ensure customer queries are handled promptly and aligned with SLA standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- A completed undergraduate degree in Marketing, with an Honours degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a marketing role within an agency, distributor, or FMCG environment.
