Tertiary Qualification(s)

Logistics qualification in Supply Chain and/or Transport Management

Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience with in-depth knowledge of the requirements listed below.

Job-related Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience in logistics transport, including client interactions within Warehouse and Transportation environments.
  • Experience in Transport relationship management
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes, including inbound, outbound, and returns.
  • Proven skills in organizing, directing, controlling, and monitoring transporters.
  • Ability to meet and manage customer expectations, ensuring compliance with procedures, regulations, work instructions, and workloads.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
  • Good interpersonal skills for client account management.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and understanding.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Conflict resolution skills at tactical and operational levels.
  • Effective communication skills across management levels.
  • Experience in incident reporting and claims management.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, interpreting, and communicating).

Main Purpose of the Role

Oversee daily transportation operations to meet or exceed SLA requirements, managing the entire process from Carrier pre-execution to on-time delivery, including administrative closure within the DSV Solutions TMS.

Maintain constant communication with Carriers and stakeholders to address challenges and ensure proactive updates. Monitor and report Carrier performance against SLAs, fostering strong relationships with warehouse, operations, clients, and teams to support seamless operations and continuous improvement.

The role involves tasks such as:

  • Monitoring Carrier compliance with SLAs.
  • Proactively resolving real-time challenges.
  • Reporting incidents and claims.
  • Serving as the first escalation point for operations, customer service, and Carriers.
  • Collaborating with Customer Service on queries, risk mitigation, and reporting.
  • Providing performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Consolidating Carrier information for reporting.
  • Building and maintaining business partnerships.
  • Reviewing order progress and capacity risks.
  • Seeking value-added process improvements.
  • Driving service development within transportation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and consolidate transportation information from Carriers.
  • Understand and execute contractual SLAs, including cross-border and international requirements.
  • Manage actions and deliverables, including escalations and timely deliveries.
  • Communicate delays and service impacts proactively.
  • Handle incidents, claims, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain SOPs, work instructions, and processes.
  • Ensure governance and safety standards are met.
  • Perform ad hoc operational tasks as required.
