Job summary

A leading audit firm is seeking an ambitious Assistant Manager for their IT Audit team in Cape Town. The candidate will lead teams in executing audits, deliver advisory services on IT governance and risk management, and coach junior colleagues. The ideal applicant will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in IT audits across various sectors, a completed BCom/BSc, and preferably CA(SA) or CISA qualifications. A competitive and negotiable salary is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

Job description

A leading audit firm is looking for an ambitious and highly-motivated Assistant Manager to join their team of IT Audit professionals in Cape Town.

In this role, you will be responsible for scoping, planning, and managing a team to execute the reengineering of financial statements and internal audits to optimally leverage our client’s information systems and data as well as technologies available to the firm to achieve efficiency, risk mitigation, optimal assurance, and differentiation. Managing teams in the execution of large or complex audit clients. You will also be responsible for providing coaching and guidance to junior colleagues on engagements.

You will be delivering on engagement in an IT advisory capacity to assist the company’s clients in managing risks involved with information management, IT governance, business systems risk management, project risk management and information security.

• Defining ideal target audit approaches that leverage technology and data analysis
• Engaging with audit and internal audit partners and managers to work together with them in teams

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of working experience
• Experience in performing IT audits and auditing the IT systems of external and internal audit clients, specifically in the Investment and Fund Management, Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Markets, and Insurance space is required for this specific position.
• Experience in IT Attestation audits (ISAE3402, SOC 1) and PCAOB audits is advantageous.

Education & certificates:

• Completed BCom / BSc is essential, completed Honours is advantageous
• CA(SA) or CISA preferred
