Assistant Maintenance Manager
Commercial & Residential Property Development Group - Fourways Gauteng.
Reports To: Group Residential Maintenance Manager
Location: Various properties owned by the Group

Job Summary: The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports the maintenance and upkeep of all residential properties and land owned by the Group. He will assist in managing daily maintenance tasks, work orders, vendor relationships, inventory control, and ensuring health and safety compliance. This role also involves reporting on maintenance activities and helping to manage the maintenance budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in maintaining residential properties and land.
  2. Track and manage work orders for repairs and maintenance.
  3. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for maintenance services.
  4. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  5. Report on maintenance activities, repairs, and costs.
  6. Assist with inventory management and budget tracking.
  7. Respond to emergency maintenance needs and provide after-hours support if necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
  1. Relevant qualification in Facilities Management or Property Management.
  2. 2-3 years' experience in maintenance or property management.
  3. Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
  4. Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Aware of health and safety regulations.
  6. Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:

Full-time, with potential after-hours and weekend work as needed. Travel to various properties for maintenance duties.

Salary:

R 25 – R 35 monthly (Depending on qualifications, experience, etc.)
