A well-established hospitality property in the Bela-Bela / Modimolle area is looking for an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in daily operations and uphold exceptional food quality and hygiene standards.

Minimum Requirements :

  • 3–5 years' experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a lodge or hotel
  • Strong leadership and kitchen coordination abilities
  • Confident in hot and cold sections, menu execution, and kitchen prep
  • Solid understanding of food cost control, stock management, and hygiene practices
  • Culinary qualification beneficial
  • Passionate, reliable, and team-oriented

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in managing kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Supervise junior staff and ensure daily mise en place
  • Monitor portion control, wastage, and stock rotation
  • Ensure cleanliness, HACCP compliance, and consistent food presentation
  • Step in for the Head Chef when needed
