What’s the Role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will work alongside the Head Housekeeper to manage all aspects of housekeeping and cleanliness within the lodge, ensuring it meets the highest standards of excellence. This includes managing staff, overseeing laundry processes, maintaining lodge inventory, and ensuring that guests enjoy a pristine, luxurious environment throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in leading a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring productivity, morale, and adherence to the lodge's standards
• Train new staff and monitor their performance to uphold housekeeping expectations
• Oversee laundering and ironing of linen and guest laundry, ensuring all items are accounted for and in excellent condition
• Manage and monitor housekeeping supplies, uniforms, and consumables, keeping stock within budget
• Conduct daily room inspections to ensure guest suites meet the highest cleanliness standards
• Assist with departmental budget management, stock takes, and accurate recordkeeping
• Communicate effectively with lodge management and housekeeping staff to ensure smooth daily operations and address guest requests

What Are We Looking For

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel environment
• Supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous
• Ability to lead and develop a team while maintaining high housekeeping standards
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
• Familiarity with budgeting, inventory control, and cost management
• Passion for hospitality and creating a memorable guest experience
