Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the successful candidate will be required to provide professional customer service, support front office operations, and maintain the high standards expected in accordance with Marriott International and Westin Brand Policies and Procedures.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Appropriate Tertiary Hospitality qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a 5-star environment
- Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Professional disposition
- Strong planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to use initiative
- Experience in IR management and disciplinary processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail in area of responsibility
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per company standards
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications and OPERA
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Maintain and develop high service standards in the Front Office departments
- Coordinate and organize Front Office operations
- Support and guide all Front Office staff to ensure efficiency
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Interview, screen, and hire new employees
- Appraise performance, recognize achievements, and manage discipline
- Coordinate training and skills development for Front Office staff
- Address and resolve guest and staff concerns
- Maintain a safe work environment with high standards of repair, hygiene, and safety
- Interact with guests regarding special requests
Supporting Management of Front Desk Team
- Lead, influence, and encourage team members using strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members
- Supervise and manage daily operations and staff; perform duties in employees' absence
- Ensure employee recognition across shifts
- Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees
