Job description

Planning and Organising with the F&B Manager

  • Support the preparation of the hotel's strategic and marketing plans, as well as the F&B Department budget.
  • Ensure adherence to NH Hotels Resorts Food & Beverage Standards.
  • Stay informed about trends, systems, practices, and equipment in Food and Beverage preparation and service within the hospitality industry.

Operations with the F&B Manager

  • Be aware of the best external competitor offerings in the local market and work with hotel colleagues to enhance our offerings, aiming to be the market leader in creativity, service, choice, and value for money.
  • Maintain responsibility for all Restaurants and Kitchen areas, ensuring smooth, profitable operations within the hotel framework.
  • Supervise Food and Beverage staff, facilities, sales, and costs to maximize departmental profit.
  • Take personal responsibility for maintaining high quality levels of products and services and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Uphold high sanitation standards throughout the Food and Beverage operations by enforcing NH Hotels' Sanitation Checklist.
  • Ensure proper care of all hotel property and facilities by department staff.
  • Conduct monthly maintenance inspections.
  • Oversee and coordinate menu, beverage, and wine list pricing and preparation, liaising with local suppliers.

Administration

  • Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
  • Collaborate with the hotel training manager to identify training needs and develop necessary training programs. Support the training of Departmental Trainers to enhance hotel service levels.
  • Act as a sales champion for the hotel by generating and following up on business referrals and potential sales leads.
  • Lead by example through a hands-on approach to motivate team members to excel.
