Job description

A dynamic manufacturer based in Industria West is looking to employ an Assistant Financial Accountant with 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Matric
  2. Qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA)
  3. 2–3 years’ post-article working experience
  4. Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial ERP systems
  6. Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial results to management
  7. Monitor, manage, and forecast short and long-term cash flows
  8. Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning
  9. Review and improve financial processes to enhance operational efficiency
  10. Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy
  11. Engage in product costing and provide insight on cost efficiencies
  12. Drive compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
  13. Support the Financial Director in audits and statutory reporting
  14. Maintain complete, accurate financial accounting records for all business entities
  15. Prepare and manage the company’s annual budgets
  16. Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies proactively
  17. Ensure accurate application of IFRS in all financial statements and reports
  18. Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and audit readiness
  19. Analyze and address stock variances as per monthly stock take and assist with resolving thereof
  20. Maintain the fixed asset register
