Assistant Factory Manager - Randburg Full job description Qualifications required : Grade 12 or NQF level 4 is essential Qualification in chemistry Bachelor's or associate degree, with course work in production management, operations management, or similar. Previous experience working in a cosmetic industry is preferred. Ability to confidently and proactively supervise production teams. 5-10 years of formulation / lab / or cosmetic production experience. Exceptional analytical ability toward solving production-related concerns. Knowledge of procuring materials, equipment, and labor needed throughout the production process. Proficiency in quality control, managing budgets, and production costing. Competence with computer-based administration, record-keeping, and procurement systems. Ability to work independently under the Factory Manager, and as part of a production team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills toward managing human resources and liaising with other departments. Availability to work extended hours to meet deadlines, when necessary. Excellent leadership skills including team & shift planning Knowledge of ISO 22716 and GMP standards Responsibilities : Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations. Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues. Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers. Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards. Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement Assist the Factory Manager in managing the Factory effectively Research and Development (R&D) of new products Ensure that production goals and targets are met Effectively manage and motivate staff Ensure all relevant compliance Schedule and coordinate production timelines to ensure timely delivery of products. Liaise with suppliers to order and manage inventory of raw materials and ensure their timely delivery. Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime. Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation to track progress and efficiency. Implement and monitor quality control measures to meet production standards and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with the finance department to manage production budgets and control expenses. Facilitate communication between production teams and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Organize training sessions for production staff on new equipment or production techniques. Inspection of equipment and floorspace for hygiene Daily checking and ensuring work environment, equipment, machinery and surfaces are clean and sanitised Check fill levels and ensuring filling machine are calibrated regularly Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality standards are met Production - checking hourly that Team is meeting targets and identifying bottle necks and fixing issues immediately – report issues to Factory Manager Job Types : Full-time, Permanent Pay : R22000,00 - R25000,00 per month Experience : Manufacturing and production : 3 years (Required) Bachelor's or associate degree : 3 years (Required)
