Job Title: Assistant Enforcement Officer - (471)

Location: Gauteng, Pretoria

Deadline: July 19, 2025

Key Performance Areas
  1. Assist with enforcing compliance with the provisions of the FIC Act.
  2. Draft administrative sanction notices for issuing sanctions under the FIC Act.
  3. Assist in presenting matters for sanctions to the FIC Adjudication Panel and/or Director, including oral and written arguments.
  4. Draft and file pleadings in appeals against sanctions issued by the FIC.
  5. Compile evidence packs and submissions for the Panel and the Director.
  6. Assist with providing guidance, advice, and training on enforcement under supervision.
  7. Provide legal opinions and conduct legal research related to the FIC Act.
  8. Attend and respond to correspondence on enforcement matters.
  9. Monitor and report on sanctions issued, payments, and enforcement by supervisory bodies.
  10. Maintain enforcement registers and extract statistics from records.
  11. Draft memoranda and letters to stakeholders and internal parties.
  12. Assist in preparing responses to public queries.
  13. Attend meetings and take minutes.
  14. Undertake additional duties as assigned by the unit/manager.
  15. Deliver operational goals and tasks under guidance.
Education, Skills, and Experience

Education: University Law Degree (NQF7)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in a junior legal position (e.g., Candidate Attorney or Junior Prosecutor)
  • Experience in Administrative Law is advantageous
  • Practical Legal Training completion is advantageous
