Job summary

A governmental entity in South Africa seeks a candidate with a relevant post-school qualification and project management experience to facilitate the implementation of sector strategies and maintain stakeholder networks. The role involves supporting market growth and requires knowledge of public financial management and effective communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant administrative and project management experience.
  • Knowledge of HRM processes and labour relations.
  • Knowledge of Public Financial Management Act.

Job description

Minimum Requirements
  • An appropriate 3-year post school qualification (equivalent or higher) in economics, finance or commerce.
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant administrative and project management experience.
  • A valid driving licence (Code B or higher). NB : People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance Areas
  • Facilitate the implementation of sector strategies, policies, programmes and projects.
  • Maintain networks with key stakeholders and support value chain alignment within the sectors.
  • Support and implement the market growth and promotion of the prioritised sectors.
  • Participate in the unlocking of opportunities to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Provide administrative services to support programmes, the directorate and chief directorate.
  • Research and report writing.

The following will be advatageous :

  • An appropriate undergraduate degree at NQF 7 or higher in economic, finance or commerce as recognised by SAQA.
  • Relevant experience in the manufacturing sector or sector development.

  • HRM processes and labour relations;
  • Public Financial Management Act;
  • Project Management;
  • Stakeholder management;
  • Monitoring and evaluation systems.

Remuneration

R - R per annum (Salary level 9)

Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance,pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.

Notes

Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments / proficiency tests.The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
