Job description

Job Title: Assistant Director: Human Resources Management

Location: Eastern Cape, Mthatha

Deadline: June 17, 2025

Requirements:
  • An appropriate B-degree (NQF level 7) or a three-year diploma (NQF level 6).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Human Resource Generalist.
  • Extensive knowledge of recruitment processes, performance management systems, and experience working with PERSAL.
  • Proven competency in acting independently, professionally, responsibly, and credibly.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR administration services including recruitment, conditions of service, staff retention, exit procedures, training and development, PMDS, EWP, long service recognition, service excellence awards, benefits, TSP, etc. Capture personal data on payroll systems and monitor recruitment and selection processes.
  • Oversee the implementation of service benefits and facilitate HR development services. Compile monthly reports and statistics. Provide guidance on HR matters, ensure policy compliance, and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and administer PERSAL information, including leave applications. Prepare and submit HR reports to the Director: Administration. Manage staff procurement, training, service conditions, exits, transfers, and employment equity targets.
  • Manage activities related to performance management and perform additional duties as assigned by management.
