The project:

As the Cape Town region continues to thrive with various building and infrastructure development opportunities, we are expanding our team. We are seeking an experienced document controller/BIM manager to join our Cape Town, South Africa, regional office during this exciting period of growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing information requirements and standards, developing and managing processes within a common data environment, and leading the delivery of the information management function for project teams. In the coming year and beyond, we will be supporting our regional clients in delivering innovative residential and commercial building developments, infrastructure projects, and feasibility and advisory services.

  • You will manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).

You'll need to have:
  • Right to work in South Africa.
  • Either be based in or be willing to relocate to Cape Town.
  • Experience in managing information requirements and standards within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Proficiency in BIM software and tools such as Autodesk BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, Aconex, Procore, and Smartsheet.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 19650 standards and BIM Level 2 protocols.
  • Diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Certification in BIM Management or document control (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional, Aconex Certified Professional).
  • Professional registration with relevant bodies (e.g., SACPCMP) is beneficial.
  • Certified Power BI Developer.
You'll also have:
  • Experience in the successful delivery of projects and programmes in the construction sector.
  • Expertise in digital solutions for project management and information management.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience and skill in Power BI development will be highly advantageous.
