Job Purpose

  • A well-established short term insurer is seeking to appoint an Assistant Company Secretary and Statutory Liaison
  • Assist in the facilitation and administration of Company Secretary duties as outlined in the Companies Act and guided by PFMA regulations.
  • Qualification and Experience :

  • 3 Year B.Com degree and studying toward CIS
  • 5 - 6 years relevant experience
  • Duties and Responsibilities :

    Meeting management

  • Provide for the proper recording of minutes in relation to all Executive Committee and Board meetings.
  • Ensure the correct registration of Directors.
  • Assist in recommendation of Directors to the board.
  • Ensure meetings have quorum and reschedule if required.
  • Compliance with regulations

  • Adherence to National Treasury compliance dates.
  • Requesting information for report to the relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Query referrals

  • Attending to queries in relation to Board and Compliance issues.
  • Processing queries.
  • Delivering queries to the appropriate person to resolve.
  • Ad hoc duties

  • Perform any reasonable task as and when required by the Line Manager.
