We have exciting opportunities for determined, focused, and dedicated individuals who wish to apply for the Clothing Assistant Manager position in Knysna.

Candidates need to demonstrate professional values and attitudes, and the ability to integrate acumen and technical competence within each area of the value creation process.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Journey: Customer-centric approach, ensuring customer service standards are rigorously applied, attending to all customer service requests, advertising products and services, adhering to VM standards, and executing all plans and promotions.
  • People Management (Assist Store Manager): Manage staff-related aspects, deal with employee shortcomings, assist with recruitment, identify training and development initiatives, assist with performance management, and lead a team of employees.
  • Daily Operations/Stock & Risk Management: Store opening/closing, daily reporting, administration tasks, merchandise handling, quality control, shrinkage control, and adherence to OHS standards.
  • Sales & Promotions: Promote sales to meet budgets, monitor sales and participation, conduct promotions, and implement markdowns and RTCs.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a managerial clothing position or 6 months reliever experience.
  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
  • Computer literacy in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams/Zoom.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and to undertake physical tasks.
  • Willingness to be relocated within stores if needed.
  • Must be based in Knysna.
