Job Title: Assistant Catering Manager - Durban
Location: KwaZulu-Natal, Durban

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage on-site front of house staff
- Set and manage service delivery standards
- Manage rosters, timesheets, and shifts of all staff; submit monthly reports to Catering Manager for approval
- Maintain HSE records required by the client and Q-pro
- Determine and implement corrective and proactive actions for non-compliance
- Support the implementation of the Business Plan for the Unit
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas at all times
- Maintain good staff relations for a productive work environment
- Be visible in the service area during peak meal times
- Manage customer and client relationships
- Ensure staff are trained in using all kitchen equipment
- Report negligence and damage of kitchen equipment
- Manage equipment maintenance budget
- Ensure food quality aligns with contractual agreements
- Minimize wastage
- Ensure staff wear proper uniforms at all times
- Train and supervise staff
- Implement quality control measures
- Supervise, lead, and motivate employees
- Work shifts as required
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in the catering and/or restaurant industry
- Completed at least a National Senior Certificate
- Experience in cooking, catering, or confectionery jobs is a plus
