Job description

Nationwide Consultancy specialising in Architecture & Surveying is looking to hire an Assistant Building Surveyor for their new, high-specification Manchester office.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Undertaking building surveys, site inspections, and measured surveys
  2. Drafting plans, sections, and elevations using computer-aided design software
  3. Preparing Schedules of Work and Specifications for maintenance and construction projects
  4. Producing feasibility reports
  5. Managing sub-consultants and contractors, offering Project Management and Contract administration (NEC3/JCT Suites)
  6. Delivering contract administration services as appropriate
  7. Arranging meetings and collating project documentation
  8. Assisting senior surveyors with condition and asset management surveys, including Party Wall services
  9. Monitoring project costs in line with budgets
  10. Supporting the commercial team and other surveyors within the consultancy
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Degree or equivalent in Building Surveying (RICS accredited)
  2. Passionate about Building Surveying, with a desire to develop a career and achieve MRICS status
  3. Understanding of standard building contract forms and the duties of a Contract Administrator
