Job summary

Time Personnel is seeking a capable Marketing professional to manage product categories and drive sales growth. You will develop category plans, coordinate new product development from concept to launch, and evaluate market conditions to identify opportunities.

The role requires cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. You will also advise on pricing, promotions and merchandising, support trade exhibitions, and ensure timely delivery within budgets while

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, project management, or a related qualification.
  • 2–4 years experience in brand management, category management, project management, or marketing.
  • Exposure to lifecycle management from development to market launch is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Valid driver’s licence with ability to travel for meetings and trade events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned product categories to drive sales growth, profitability and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute category plans aligned with market trends and company strategy.
  • Coordinate new product development from concept to launch with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate market conditions, competitors, consumer behaviour and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Recommend pricing, promotions and merchandising to strengthen product performance and brand positioning.
  • Partner with Sales to provide product knowledge and support sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to deliver product launches, campaigns, exhibitions and digital activities.
  • Drive cross‑functional projects across Sales, Operations, Production, Purchasing, Finance and Graphic Design.
  • Monitor timelines, budgets and supplier performance to ensure timely, within‑scope delivery.
  • Display excellent planning and coordination across multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Valid driver's licence with the flexibility to travel for customer meetings, trade exhibitions, supplier visits, and retail store visits.
Duties
  • Manage assigned product categories to achieve sales growth, profitability, and overall business objectives.
  • Develop and execute category plans that align with market trends and company strategy.
  • Coordinate new product development by working with internal departments and external suppliers from concept through to launch.
  • Evaluate market conditions, competitor activity, consumer behaviour, and sales performance to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Recommend pricing, promotional, and merchandising initiatives that strengthen product performance and brand positioning.
  • Partner with the Sales team by providing product knowledge, category insights, and supporting sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to deliver product launches, promotional campaigns, trade exhibitions, and digital marketing activities.
  • Drive cross-functional projects by coordinating activities between Sales, Operations, Production, Purchasing, Finance, and Graphic Design teams.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and supplier performance to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within agreed objectives
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
