A property specialist credit fund company is looking to employ an Assistant Accountant.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accountant with full accounting functions, including income statements and balance sheets, up to trial balance for multiple companies.
- Process monthly journal entries and daily cashbook entries on Pastel.
- Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounts.
- Prepare journals, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Review inter-company recharges and transactions.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and schedules.
- Manage cashbook, daily cash management, and bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
- Handle full debtors and creditors functions.
- Assist with audits and independent reviews for all group companies.
- Liaise with the credit team, assist in monthly accounting and tracking of loans.
- Address deal-related queries with the credit team.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (attorneys, banks, municipalities, vendors, etc.).
- Assist with VAT/Tax administration, liaising with the Accountant and Tax Practitioner.
- Manage compliance (CIPC, FICA, NHBRC).
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience in finance or property development industries.
- Proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel skills, with Pastel experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
