As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll support the delivery of financial functions, including managing debtors and creditors, maintaining asset registers, performing reconciliations, and other duties within the Finance team. This helps us provide accurate financial information to stay ahead.

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities include:

Creditors Function

  • Capture all invoices ensuring correct postings by product, region, platform, and brand, aligned with agreements or billing.
  • Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve queries.
  • Prepare bi-weekly payments ensuring accuracy.
  • Match vendor invoices and payments in Navision/Business Cloud.
  • Create new vendors & obtain proof of bank details for changes or new vendors.
  • Run vendor open items reports weekly and provide commentary on outstanding items.

Debtors Function

  • Bill transaction volumes and related fees correctly according to contracts.
  • Ensure timely receipt of funds.
  • Match customer invoices and payments in Navision.

Asset Management

  • Record asset transactions, including additions and disposals.
  • Run monthly amortisation and depreciation.
  • Reconcile asset registers to the general ledger.
  • Prepare income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.

Audit & Corporate Governance

  • Assist in preparing audit files and providing evidence.
  • Communicate with auditors to resolve queries.
  • Ensure controls are followed for SOX compliance.
  • Work effectively with team members.

Ad Hoc Duties

  • Draft process notes for monthly tasks.
  • Archive financial information.
  • Assist in testing processes on Navision or BC.
  • Perform general administration.
