Job summary

A leading FMCG Group is seeking an Assistant Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting functions, prepare detailed financial analyses, and handle intercompany reconciliations. Candidates should possess a Commerce degree, at least 3 years of experience in an FMCG environment, and advanced skills in SAP and Excel.

• Prepare accurate monthly detailed analysis of costs.
• Ensure accurate processing in the General Ledger via journals.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and review day-to-day accounting systems and transactions, including General Ledger, Creditors, Intercompany, Inventory, and Cost of Sales.
• Prepare accurate monthly detailed analysis of other costs of sales with full comparison to prior year, budget, and forecast.
• Ensure complete and accurate processing in the General Ledger via journals and maintain records at reporting intervals.
• Compile accurate and complete General Ledger reconciliations.
• Review Accounts Payable age analysis and ensure all suppliers are paid on time. Manage relationships with Group Financial Shared Services.
• Coordinate Year-end preparations and deliverables for Year-end Audit.

Handle Intercompany Reconciliations.

Reporting

• Maintain Internal Controls.
