Matriarch is seeking a technically skilled, data-driven Asset Manager to oversee performance across a national portfolio of solar PV sites.

Purpose of the Role :

As an Asset Manager, your key role will be monitoring and managing the performance of our clients' solar assets. You will ensure their solar systems operate at peak efficiency and adhere to contractual agreements between Matriarch and our clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor, balancing client needs with business objectives and striving for excellence in all responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Monitor solar assets daily under your management.
  2. Oversee and perform all preventative and corrective maintenance activities across sites.
  3. Act as the primary contact between clients, the Matriarch team, and external contractors to resolve faults promptly.
  4. Deliver comprehensive performance reports for each site to clients within the first two weeks of the following month.
  5. Update the Central Maintenance File with monthly performance data and compare against targets by the 5th day of the following month.
  6. Submit monthly maintenance budgets to the O&M Manager by the third Friday of each month.
  7. Update monthly loss attributions for all Performance Guarantee sites.
  8. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly performance reports.
  9. Promptly resolve system faults, following correct procedures and within client SLAs.
  10. Establish yourself as an expert advisor to clients by demonstrating a thorough understanding of site performance.
  11. Develop suitable maintenance schedules and cost contract proposals for clients.
  12. Complete handover procedures from the Projects Team.
  13. Maintain accurate site details in the Central Maintenance File, including system targets.
  14. Ensure billing sheets are accurate for the finance team’s monthly billing process.
  15. Set up report templates with correct targets on Techsitter.
  16. Identify and resolve underperformance issues to minimize system downtime.
  17. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with client contracts.
  18. Follow invoicing and PO procedures promptly.
  19. Execute planned maintenance according to established procedures.
  20. Handle loss attributions and penalty payout calculations for Performance Guarantee sites.
  21. Maintain accuracy in system targets and tariffs.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy), Business Administration, or related field.

Experience :

  • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including PV technology and operation.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and fault resolution in solar systems.
  • Experience in asset management within the renewable energy sector, especially solar.
  • Proven track record in managing solar asset performance and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Experience liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Experience in preparing performance reports and managing asset registers and fault logs.
  • Proficiency in analyzing performance data against targets.
  • Ability to serve as a trusted client advisor, balancing needs with business goals.
  • Experience in client relationship management and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Experience in developing maintenance schedules and cost proposals.
  • Proficiency in information management, including updating files, billing, invoicing, and PO processes.
