WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The successful candidate for the Asset Manager position will be the primary point of contact for managing plant modifications and CAPEX projects, playing a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and EHS standards. This position involves overseeing the implementation of upgrades and ensuring compliance with BASF regulations and local requirements. You will collaborate with various teams to identify improvement opportunities and manage the annual CAPEX budget. Please note that this role may require occasional travel to engage with stakeholders and support project activities on-site.

Duties will include the following:

  • Oversee plant modifications and CAPEX projects, ensuring adherence to budget and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Laboratory, and Supply Chain teams to identify and implement improvements.
  • Prepare and manage the annual site CAPEX budget and expenditure proposals.
  • Ensure proper evaluation and execution of equipment modifications and upgrades.
  • Liaise with local teams and the Global AP Technology Division for technology enhancements.
  • Issue permits for project-related work and lead EHS responsibilities.
  • Coordinate MOC procedures and ensure compliance with safety codes.
  • Manage energy and resource efficiency initiatives on-site.
  • Provide IT support related to infrastructure for site employees.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • B.Sc. or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of EHS systems and Responsible Care Management System
  • Expertise in E&I
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint; SAP4HANA experience is a plus
  • Strong skills in budget setting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Project management experience with excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Innovative problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently, as well as in a team
