Job summary

Apex Group in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant – Asset Allocator to administer funds efficiently and to support end-to-end fund valuation processes. The role includes setting up checklists, documentation, and ensuring adherence to standards while assisting other Apex teams with client queries and reporting.

The incumbent will help the Team Leader manage Institutional Funds tasks, oversee valuations, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of fund accounting experience.
• BCom or equivalent accounting/economics/investments background.
• Experience in Asset Management portfolio administration and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Produce valuation files and ensure accuracy.
• Update daily prices in Apex systems and verify them.
• Mentor fund accountants and interns in valuations and calculations.
• Understand daily NAV inputs across Invest One, BEC, EMS and related systems.
• Assist in ad-hoc Apex processes and client reporting requirements.
• Support Team Leader in Institutional Funds tasks and deliveries.
• Maintain process documentation and respond to internal and client queries.
