Activities
HSSE
Manage and minimise HSE risks within the area of responsibility by ensuring:
- Compliance with all HSE policies, rules, guidelines, and legal requirements
- Promotion of a safe working environment and contribution to HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies
- Identification and enforcement of HSE competency requirements within the area of responsibility
Accounting and Reporting
- Process asset transactions such as additions, transfers, and disposals on Docuware and Kofax
- Compile, analyze, and record journal entries monthly
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Review reconciliations prepared by SSC and investigate unreconciled items
- Assist with ad hoc requests from management
- Monitor, analyze, and manage the AUC account
- Prepare and circulate the monthly AUC business reports
- Follow up with the business for project status updates
- Coordinate asset disposals and ensure accurate processing on SAP
- Ensure assets are identifiable, and locations are correctly recorded
- Maintain asset allocations, classifications, creation, and disposals
- Maintain integrity between Assets sub-ledger and general ledger
- Suggest improvements to financial controls related to Fixed Assets
- Load and monitor lease contracts on the CLM system
- Reconcile CLM and SAP postings
- Assist in quarterly assets roll-forward for CAP purposes
- Utilize technology to improve information flow to stakeholders
- Identify non-value-adding processes and implement improved accounting processes
Candidate Profile
Accounting qualification with 1-3 years of similar experience
Analytical skills, ability to work under pressure, critical data analysis, high integrity and commitment, good interpersonal skills, ability to meet deadlines, problem solving
Technical Skills
Knowledge of internal financial reporting standards (IFRS); SAP and MS Office are advantages
