Qualifications

• Working knowledge of MySQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and version control with Git.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
• Good problem-solving and debugging abilities; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with a development team.
• Genuine interest in building a career in software development; office-based role in Milnerton.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, maintenance and improvement of web applications.
• Develop and maintain features using PHP and Laravel.
• Assist with front-end development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Work with MySQL databases, including queries, updates and troubleshooting.
• Assist with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software issues.
• Write clean, structured and maintainable code.
• Participate in software testing and quality assurance.

• Use Git for version control and collaborate on shared codebases.
• Participate in Agile development meetings and planning sessions.
