Job summary

Meril is seeking a Scrub Technician – Arthroplasty who will support hip and knee replacement surgeries by preparing instrumentation, implant systems, and maintaining sterile field integrity. This role requires attention to infection control and procedural compliance in a busy perioperative environment.

You will lead scrub teams, ensure sterile practices, manage instrument requirements, and participate in safety checks.

Qualifications

• Perioperative scrub experience and solid knowledge of arthroplasty procedures.
• Excellent sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior scrub staff during theatre cases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating theatre according to arthroplasty requirements.
• Assemble and prepare orthopaedic and implant instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure availability of implants, trays and disposables.
• Assist surgeons during arthroplasty with instrument passing and implant handing.
• Lead and mentor junior scrub technicians and theatre assistants.
• Coordinate scrub team duties and theatre workflows.
• Contribute to staff training and competency development.
